Violent deaths represent a serious public health problem. Violent deaths include:
Homicides,
Suicides,
Deaths of undetermined intent
Unintentional firearm-related deaths,
Deaths due to legal intervention (i.e., fatal injuries inflicted by the police or other law-enforcing agents).
